My purse! (Handbag, satchel, pocketbook...whichever noun applies to you and your region of the country!) I spent two weeks carrying around an absolutely ADORABLE, weaved, red & blue...too small purse. My "stuff" (i.e. my life blood, security "blanket",etc...) was just busting out all over the place! I would reach in for my singing phone and had keys-money and all sorts of embarrassing goodies falling down around me. I have had a lot of missed calls these past few weeks. So, today, it was just me and the boys-translation: I needed to have my "stuff" together! Who was I kidding-"absolutely ADORABLE" + ME = disaster, disorganization, the list goes on and on. Old Faithful got pulled out-the one that I can fit a water bottle, kindle, 'Daring Greatly' book by Brene Brown (upcoming blog-I SWEAR, she and I would make the best of friends!!), epi-pen (I am a HOT mess sometimes!),...the list goes on and on. You're picking up on some patterns, aren't you?! I got all my stuff in with room to spare, tossed the 15lb. weight on the seat next to me and was ready to go. I looked over at it-happy, content, feeling like a missing piece of myself was back. I don't know what this really means about me, considering the hubby and I are convinced that my need to visit the Physical Therapist for shoulder and neck pain always follows any extended use of Old Faithful. (Not to worry, you know I'll reflect-dig deep and hit the invisible psych couch in my head until I figure out the hidden meaning of mine and purse's relationship!) Old Faithful and I have had some good times-the time I actually had a clip-on tie buried in there for a student to borrow. I have found dinosaur toys to soothe cranky kids, snacks I forgot buying and I always-always have meds to soothe an allergy, headache or emergency PMS moment. Today, it's official, everything I need-I've got with me :)
