In the wee small hours of the morning...after Christmas!

Woke up-blinked, couldn't see, ah yes-little 3 year old sock covered hand over my eyes (to prevent bloody nose picking incidents during the night...naturally.) Stretch, rise-check on 5 year old not present in our bed...removed his left hand from pants (don't recall ever watching 'Married with Children' with him...but he sure does resemble Al Bundy-mostly when sleeping!)Breathed in-day? Day after Christmas...hubby and I made it! Full day of toy mayhem, joyful calls to family and friends near and far and way, way too many mini quiche consumed! December 26-a day to continue the Christmas music, mimosas and celebration of joy and gratitude. The noisy, light-blinking toy construction has only just begun. The blood-curdling screams attached to two pajama clad boys-pulling on one LEGO Capt.Jack Sparrow....the soundtrack of this day. I inhale the madness, exhale and sip on coffee wishing this moment of most ridiculous fullness for all. We'll likely do lunch in our pajamas, if the weather holds out it will be picnic style by the light up Eiffel Tower decoration in the front yard. Hubby will head out to use his Home Depot card. We'll snack on the remaining crumbs of Chex Mix...because it's THAT good! And the calls will continue-checking on gorgeously generous friends and family. Whoever said "Christmas isn't a season, it is a feeling", nailed it!
