There's just something about a 3 year old!

I've been watching you this morning, little boy! (Really, it's a sweet not creepy tone I'm using :) From the moment you projected your body into our bedroom door with hair flying and eyes wide-to right now; laying next to me-watching Mickey and using your whole teensy fist to wipe your nose, eyes...oh, wait-did you just wipe the snot from your nose into your eyes with that cute teensy fist?!(Tomorrow's post: There's just something about a 3 year old with pink eye)
I am always amazed at your wide-eyed greeting for each day. That you literally charge towards the start of each morning (at 5AM, no less), filled with anticipation-ready for the adventures that await you. Your days are filled with drumming-of drums and household objects, painting with apple slices and then running full-speed (arms pumping in that unique 3 year old body way) in circles typically. You always sigh, getting strapped into your car seat at the end of a day; with a wistful look and eyes still very wide. I imagine you are pleased with yourself and your day's efforts. Maybe, thinking fondly of the kindness and mischief that mixed throughout the day's memories. Start to finish-eyes always so big and full of joy.
Seems like a lot to get from one little moment of the two of us watching Mickey. It would seem I watch you a lot, little boy. Your independent, adventurous and truly contented spirit is one I am so proud and at times envious to watch. There is a lot I can learn from you, little guy. Now-you share a hug with me, I'll share a tissue with you and we'll start our newest full-speed, arm pumping beautiful day.
